A communal waterfront vacation development typical of the 1920s for middle class Americans. The Seashore Club was built on land purchased by ten Danish families in 1926. The land supported eighteen homes, and shared a common area and waterfront. Croquet was a favorite game for all the members of the Club. After World War II many of the cabins were improved to become year-round homes.
