City Hall 2003

The Odd Fellows Hall at 730 S. 225th St. served as City Hall and Police Department from incorporation into the early 1970s. The current site of the Des Moines City Hall (21630 11th Avenue S.) was originally outside the incorporated limits of the City. The City purchased the property from Wesley Gardens and it now houses the Library, City Hall, and Public Works (formally Police) buildings. The second floor of the Odd Fellows Hall is the current home of Des Moines Historical Society and its museum.
